About Dr. Betman

Dr. Betman is a fully licensed psychologist in Michigan.  He has 20 years of clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings.  Dr. Betman trained at a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Boston (McLean Hospital).  He stayed in the area and worked a total of nine years in  Boston.  Dr. Betman then became a staff psychologist at the Dean Medical Center in Madison, Wisconsin for another nine years.  Throughout his career Dr. Betman has supervised clinical psychology students through Harvard and the University of Wisconsin. 

Dr. Betman moved back to the Detroit area in 2003.  He has a full time private practice that includes psychotherapy, psychological testing, and consultation.  Dr. Betman consults to Eton Academy in Birmingham, MI, a private school for students (grades 1st through 12th) with learning differences.  He also consults to Clinical Counseling Services at Lawrence Technological University, located in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Betman is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Michigan Psychological Association.  He has held psychology licenses in Massachusetts and Wisconsin.  Dr. Betman has been a board member of the Michigan Psychological Association.
